When I first starting having kids (a very long time ago) I was obsessed with the “what to expect” book series. I loved following along with what I should expect during my pregnancy (however all the complications I had during my first pregnancy was not covered in the book-but that is a whole different blog post). I thought it would be good to do some “What to expect” posts about different photography sessions I offer. The first one I wanted to cover was “What to expect during your newborn session”
1.I recommend bringing your newborn in for her photo session with in the first 10 days of life. This is when the newborn is the sleepiest and are able to curl into cute poses.
2. I know you as the mom are tired and not feeling your best (been there done that 5x over), you get to sit back and relax during your session. Come with your baby, sit back and relax.
3. Your session will last anywhere from 1-3 hours, sometimes it takes awhile for baby to fall asleep and often we stop for baby to eat.
4. About two weeks after your session you will have an ordering session and view printed proofs of your newborn’s photos. I like to show printed proofs instead of online proofs because every computer screen shows color and brightness differently. All orders are to be placed during your ordering session.
5. It is a good idea to call me during your last month of pregnancy to book your newborn session.
Here are a few pics of Miss Lola from her newborn session!
